Illustrative campaign

See the placement. Understand the result.

An example brief, not an active campaign or a claim about audience size, sales or return.

Sponsored · illustrative creative

A grapefruit-forward classic.

A spirits brand introduces its Paloma serve through an approved discovery placement. The creative identifies the sponsor and directs the guest to approved campaign information.

Venue participation, creative review and campaign approval come before activation. This example has no paid delivery behind it.

What the report should answer

Where did it appear? Which campaign and dates do these events belong to? How many eligible impressions and taps were recorded? Were redemptions actually attributed?

Impressions are not orders. A redemption is not proof of incremental sales. When attribution is unavailable, show it as unavailable rather than presenting zero or a projected return as measured revenue.

Discuss your campaign objective
Before the inventory

Four rules we wrote into the code, not the contract.

A bar lets you in front of its guests exactly once. These constraints are enforced by the component that decides whether a placement serves at all, which is why we will happily print them on a page a buyer reads.

Ancillary only

A sponsored placement may render on exactly three surfaces: the top of the venue discovery feed, the “while you wait” band on the order tracker, and the “presented by” byline under a venue header. The ordering menu body is deliberately absent. Nothing paid ever sits above or inside the path from tap to transaction, and a request for any other slot is refused rather than negotiated.

Always labelled

Every served placement carries a Sponsored label. There is no code path that returns one without it, which means there is no campaign, no price and no relationship that can buy its removal.

Drunk-proof frequency

The number of placements a guest can see in a session falls as their drink count rises: two early in the session, one after a couple, then none. Advertising here informs a choice; it never pushes volume at somebody four drinks in.

Flat fee, no CPM

Serving never meters an impression into a bill. You buy a placement for a period, the same way venues buy the platform. Your reporting still counts impressions and taps, because you should be able to see what you bought, but the counter is not the meter.

The venue keeps its floor

Placements sit around the ordering experience the bar is paying for, not on top of it. A venue that feels sold out of its own app stops running the app, and then there is no audience for anybody.

Measured, not modelled

Impressions and taps are recorded as deduplicated, idempotent events against your campaign. Return on ad spend only appears when you tell us what a redemption is worth to you, because DrinkLync does not see your revenue and will not invent it.

Try the guard

How many placements can one guest see tonight?

Drag the drink count. This is the actual step function the placement router uses, not an illustration of one — it is a plain, auditable rule precisely so it can be shown to the people it protects and the people it limits.

The budget covers the whole session, not each screen. It never goes up as the night goes on, which is the property that makes it a guard rather than a setting.

What you can actually buy

Four units. Pick one to see what it is and how it is measured.

These are the same four the campaign builder offers inside the portal, so the catalog on this page and the catalog a buyer clicks cannot drift apart.

Branded Experience A 30 to 60 day
burst at a venue cohort

A brand-customised order flow: your ritual, your animation, your colours across the surrounding surface, and a custom thank-you at the end.

Self-serve · shipped

Not a banner. A night that looks like you.

  • What you supplyCreative and a cohort. The builder previews the patron-facing result before anything is submitted, so you approve what a guest will actually see.
  • How it is measuredReach, engagement, completion rate, and order movement against the pre-campaign baseline for the same cohort.
  • Still ancillaryA branded experience dresses the room around the order. It never becomes a step the guest has to pass through to buy a drink.
Push Campaign One sponsored push
per guest, per week

Opt-in only, to members at participating venues, targeted by venue, tier and behavioural segment. The cap is per guest, not per campaign.

Self-serve · shipped

The one channel we rate-limit hardest.

  • Opt-in, then cappedA guest who has not opted in is not reachable at any price, and one who has sees at most one sponsored push in seven days from anybody.
  • How it is measuredSends, opens, tap-through, and orders inside the attribution window.
  • Why the cap is the productA notification channel is worth something exactly as long as it is not worth much to abuse. The limit is what keeps the audience opted in.
Co-Branded Membership One anchor brand
per category, per season

Season-long sponsorship of the membership tier with category exclusivity, across every participating venue. Annual partnership, sales-assisted.

Sales-assisted · shipped as a unit

Your brand on every perk a member unlocks.

  • Category exclusivityOne anchor brand per category for the term. That is a deliberately small number of buyers, which is the whole point of it.
  • How it is measuredMember reach, perk redemptions, and category share movement across the term.
  • Handled by a personSeason-long and exclusive means a conversation, a term sheet and a named contact, not a checkout.
Your own portal

A campaign goes through five states, and you can see all of them.

The lifecycle is an enforced state machine, not a status field somebody updates by hand: draft, pending approval, approved, scheduled or active, then paused, ended or exhausted. Nothing skips a step, including ours.

1. Draft — build it yourself

Pick your placement, pick a creative from the library, and watch the patron-facing preview render as you go. The builder shows a projected reach and return panel beside it, labelled as modelled on every field, and it shows nothing at all rather than a fabricated number when it has no basis for one.

2. Pending approval — a human reads it

Submitting moves the campaign into an approval queue. Creative that runs in somebody's bar in front of somebody's guests gets looked at by a person. This is a feature of the product, not a delay in it.

3. Approved, then scheduled or active

Once approved the campaign schedules or goes live against the venues and window you chose, and serving obeys the ancillary allow-list, the Sponsored label and the frequency budget on every single impression.

4. Live — impressions and taps, deduplicated

Every impression and every tap is recorded as an idempotent, receipt-verified event against your campaign, capped per guest per day so one person cannot inflate your numbers by reloading a screen. Your dashboard, insights, reach and ROI views read from that.

5. Paused, ended or exhausted

You can pause. A campaign that reaches its window ends. Budget caps and automatic pause-on-spend are built but not yet enforced end to end in the live portal — that one is upcoming, and until it lands your account contact watches the spend with you rather than us pretending a switch is flipped.

What return on ad spend means here

It is a projection, and it only appears when you supply what a redemption is worth to you. DrinkLync does not observe your revenue, so it cannot report your return — it can report what it saw and do your arithmetic. With no live campaign, the insights view is an honest empty state rather than a zero dressed as a measurement.

Seat pricing

What a seat costs, before anybody calls you.

A brand seat is the account: attribution scope, campaign allowance and how many people from your side get a login. Placements are bought on top of it, at a flat fee for the period. No percentage of anything.

Shipped, and not yet

You asked what we offer. Here is what we offer, and what we will.

The founder's line is that we should say which is which, so this section is as prominent as the sales copy above it.

Running today

The advertiser portal: dashboard, campaigns, audiences, insights, reach, return, assets and account. The self-serve campaign builder with placement picker, creative library and live patron preview. The enforced approval lifecycle. Deduplicated, idempotent impression and click recording. The internal approval and inventory queue on our side. The three-slot ancillary allow-list, the Sponsored label and the frequency budget, all enforced on every impression.

Upcoming

Audience segments wired directly into the campaign builder — the segment library exists and the builder exists, but “target with this segment” does not yet carry across. Budget caps enforced end to end with automatic pause on spend. Campaign reporting defaulting to live numbers: the real attribution path is built, and it is on behind a flag once a brand has attributed traffic, so a new account still sees clearly-labelled demo figures first. Warehouse-grade event storage for high volume.

Not self-serve yet, and we would rather say so

Signing up creates a lead, not a live advertiser account. Somebody from DrinkLync converts it by hand, and there is no in-app card checkout for advertising — invoicing happens off-platform. If you want a campaign live this week, the fastest path is still a conversation, and pretending otherwise would only waste a form submission of yours.

Tell us the brand and the cities.

We will come back with the venues you would actually reach, the placements available in that window, and a flat number. If the honest answer is “not yet, at your scale”, that is the answer you will get.
