Delete your account and data

You can delete your DrinkLync account and the personal information attached to it at any time. There are two ways to do it, and both end in the same place.

Option 1: delete it yourself

Open app.drinklync.com/account-deletion, sign in with the account you want removed, and confirm. You can also reach it inside the app under Account, then Delete account. Your request is recorded immediately and you get a confirmation on screen and by email.

Option 2: ask us to do it

Email help@drinklync.com from the address on your account, or tell us the email you used. We verify that the request comes from the account holder, then delete it for you. If you cannot access the email on the account, say so and we will work out another way to verify you.

What gets deleted

• Your account and profile: name, email, phone number if you gave one, and your optional photo.
• Your order history as personal data, including the drinks you ordered and where you picked them up.
• Your saved favorites, your ratings, and any notes tied to your account.
• Your saved payment methods. Card numbers are held by our payment processor, Stripe, and never by DrinkLync. Deleting your account removes our reference to them.
• Any age or identity check images tied to your account, which are encrypted and automatically deleted after 90 days in any case.

What we keep, and why

• Transaction records. Sales and tax records that the law requires us to keep are retained for the period the law requires. These are financial records, not a profile of you.
• Aggregate venue statistics. Counts that no longer identify you, for example how many drinks a bar sold in an hour, remain with the venue.
• Suppression record. If you asked us not to email you, we keep the minimum needed to honor that.

How long it takes

Self-service deletions are processed right away and finish within 30 days across our systems and backups. Email requests are actioned within 30 days of us verifying you. We will tell you when it is done.

Staff and venue accounts

If you are a bartender, gatekeeper or manager, your account belongs to the venue that created it. Ask your manager to remove you, or email help@drinklync.com and we will coordinate with the venue. Venue business records stay with the venue.
